Analog - tobacco cigarette
Atomizer - the part of the vaporizer that contains the heating coil that heats the e liquid into vapor
Cartomizer - a device combining the atomizer and cartridge into one unit;
Cartridge - the part of the vaporizer that hold the e liquid; some cartridges contain a poly-fill substance which works as "sponge" to hold the e liquid; other cartridges are empty containers that drip or feed the e liquid onto the atomizer, more commonly called "tanks"
Clearomizer - a specific type of cartomizer made of clear material, allowing the user to view the amount of e liquid inside
Coil- heating element inside an atomizer; may be single coil (one) or dual coil (two)
Drip tip- replaceable mouthpiece used on the end of cartridge, cartomizer or tank; called drip tip because it allows the user to 'drip' e liquid through the tip without removing it
Dripping- method of vaping where the vaper direct drips e liquid onto the atomizer; method preferred by some vapers over using a cartomizer
e Liquid/e Juice - Liquid for producing vapor in electronic cigarettes, known as e-juice or e-liquid, smoke juice, vapor and vape, is a solution of propylene glycol(PG) and/or vegetable glycerin(VG) and/or polyethylene glycol 400(PEG400) mixed with flavors and mostly nicotine.
They are often sold in a bottle or as pre-filled disposable cartridges. There are dozens of flavors which resemble the taste of regular tobacco, menthol, vanilla, coffee, cola and various fruits, but nicotine concentrations vary from 32mg down to a nicotine free solution.
LR - "low resistance"; equipment that is less than 2.0 ohms
OHM - measure of electrical resistance; many vaporizer devices are rated in ohms, which indicated how must voltage they accept or resist from the battery, which will determine how "hot" the atomizer will get (hotter = more/warmer vapor = increased throat hit)
Propylene Glycol (PG)- a major component of eliquid; used in many pharmaceuticals and many other products.
Tank - a form of cartridges; empty reservoir that drips or feeds eliquid to the atomizer.
TH/throat hit - the feel in the throat that one gets when inhaling vapor or smoke; many vapers seek eliquid that produces throat hit and emulates the feeling of smoking
Vaper - one who vapes
Vaping - the act of using a vaporizer; used instead of the word "smoking", AKA e-smoking
Vapor - the substance produced by a vaporizer; can also refer to an e liquid/e juice
Vaporizer - device used for vaping; preferred over the term "e cig" or "e cigarette"
VV (variable voltage)- a capability of APVs that allows user to adjust the voltage of their PV device, which alters the flavor of the ejuice and amount of vapor to the users preference.
Vegetable Glycerin (VG) - a major component of eliquid; also used in many pharmaceutical, food and other products; usually referred to as VG; AKA glycerin, glycerin
